Scaffold davits and dedicated overhead anchor points are used to provide a fixed anchor point for suspended work. They keep the tie-off point directly overhead, thus reducing the risk of swing falls.

These are road-towable fall-arrest carts that create reliable, certified overhead anchorage in the absence of roof anchors. Sometimes no reliable fixed anchorage exists, so in these instances, mobile fall protection systems provide an independent solution.

OSHA Compliance & Safety Standards

Fall protection required at 10 feet on scaffolds

Workers on scaffolds generally require overhead fall arrest systems (PFAS), guardrails, or another approved form of fall protection when working 10 feet or more above a lower level. This is in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart L.

Suspended-scaffold rule: lifeline anchored independent of the scaffold

Suspended scaffolds come with further requirements. OSHA states that each independent lifeline should be attached to an independent anchorage to ensure workers are protected even if the scaffold components are compromised.
